Hi Tony, the roads in Java sound like a nightmare, no wonder progress is slow there. Fair play to Richard Donovan, he is amazing helping you out with your dream. Take care :) Ann

Thanks again Richard!
Just a quick internet stop, well they are rarely quick! The roads in java have to be seen to be believed. I have given up running on the road and instead have to run in the stony and joint wrenching shoulder on the road. My progress is very slow and due to the condition of the shoulder much of my day has to be walked for safety reasons, besides it would be almost impossible to run hard here such is the sheer volume of traffic coming from behind and towards me. I am planning long, long days and to be honest just want to get out of here and onto Singapore as soon as I can! i am now thinking of the eastern route through Malaysia and Thailand, seems less hectic and more interesting than the high volume route from Singapore to Bangkok via Kuala Lumpar. Still enjoying the dream, nobody ever said dreams have to be easy with feet up! Tues 48km circa 32,620km for 755 days on the road.
